Genshin Impact 4.4 livestream has finally been released, where much information was officially revealed. In the meantime, we have prepared an in-depth article including details about the new characters and banners, rerun and release dates for all characters and banners.
Note that this article also includes some leaks to provide you as much information as possible related to this 4.4 update.
Before diving into the character banner info, let’s first find out on which days the 4.4 update and its phases will be released. Genshin Impact 4.4 update and its phase 1 will be released on January 31 at 11:00 UTC+8. Before the update release, the game servers will be down for maintenance for up to 5 hours. So, maintenance will start at 6:00, and fans can receive compensation of Primogems ×300 (60 Primogems per hour the servers are down).
As we already know, Genshin updates last for 42 days, so phase 1 will last for 21 days. It means Phase 2 of version 4.4 will be released on February 21. Note that the release time for phase 2 may differ for the three servers (Asia, Europe, America) because Phase 2 usually releases with a 5-hour gap for all the servers.
Genshin Impact 4.4 Character Banners
The first half of Genshin Impact 4.4 banners will feature Xianyun and Nahida, while the second half will feature Xiao and Yae Miko. It means Nahida, Xiao, and Yae Miko will return in this update. So, HoYoverse will release both new characters Xianyun and Gaming on January 31, 2024. Xiao and Yae Miko will return on February 21 in phase 2.

Coming to the weapon banners, the first phase will feature Xianyun’s signature weapon Crane’s Echoing Call, a 5-star Catalyst.
Refinements (R5)
Cloudfall Axiom
After the equipping character hits an opponent with a Plunging Attack, all nearby party members’ Plunging Attacks deal 80% increased DMG for 20s. When nearby party members hit opponents with Plunging Attacks, they will restore 3.5 Energy to the equipping character. Energy can be restored this way every 0.7s. This energy regain effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field.
