Players are comparing Honkai Star Rail and Genshin Impact for Big Size

Honkai Star Rail is about to surpass Genshin Impact in terms of size. Yes, the version 2.0 update size is truly unexpected for many players. Genshin Impact’s size increased during the 4.0 update when the Fontaine region was added. Now, Honkai Star Rail’s size has also massively increased after releasing the 2.0 update. The main reason behind this large size is the new area, Penacony, the Planet of Festivities.

Penacony Official Gameplay is available via IGN. Here, you can get a sneak peek of open world exploration.

After updating the game to 2.0, it will take up more than 30 GB of storage on the device. If anyone is running Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail on a 64 GB storage phone, they may definitely need to upgrade. To play all HoYoverse games, it is recommended to have at least a 256 GB storage device nowadays.

Great news for those who worried about storage. Even though the pre-installation size was more than 12GB, after the 2.0 update was released, the resource download size for mobile becomes around 5GB.

Currently, most players are playing Honkai Star Rail and Genshin Impact. In the future, a new game, Zenless Zone Zero, is coming to join the HoYoverse universe. So, in that case, we definitely need more than 100 GB of free storage to have all three games on a device.
