Because HoYoverse usually follow 6-weeks release pattern for releasing new updates. Also, 2.5’s Nameless Honor event is ending on October 21, which further confirms the 2.6 release date. From the last few months, HoYoverse continuously releasing special programs (livestreams) 12 days before, from the release of the update. It means, Honkai Star Rail 2.6 livestream will premiere on October 11, 2024, 19:30 (UTC+8), Friday. However, sometimes they delay the livestream. In such cases, the stream may release 1-2 days later.
